Playing Experience: British Basketball League 1968-70, English Schools U19 Champions 1970.
Bio: Coaching became a priority after 5 years as a National League referee. Coached Gloster Jets to 2 national finals. Has coached against teams from over 30 nations. Currently Chair of South West Region and England Basketball Council.

Christensen, Matt - U14 Head Coach

Playing Experience: Gloucestershire Giants EBL, Gloster Jets EBL, Selby Slammers (Australia), Uni of Gloucestershire BUSA.
Bio: Introduced to coaching through injury sustained playing. Led U14 to National Final 8 in first season. International experiences throughout Europe as well as USA and Australia. Head Coach to South West ’90 team and member of coaching staff for England U15 team.

Parkyn, Ben - U16 Head Coach

Coaching History: Cornwall County Council multisport coach 2003-2005, Team Gloster 2005-present, South West England 2006-present.
Playing Experience: Gloucestershire Giants EBL, Kidderminster Cobras, WMBL, University of Gloucestershire BUSA.
Bio: A keen player from a young age, Ben’s first coaching assignments were to be found in the local schools and as a multi-sports coach for the County Council. Introduced to Team Gloster by Matt Christensen as an assistant, Ben was then handed the U14 team which he has taken through to the U15 age group. Also assistant coach to the South West ’93 boys, providing international coaching experience.
